The Greenroom

Welcome to ShareTheStage — the verified live performance marketplace.

After a year of quiet building, we are open. Here is what we made, why we made it, and the small set of promises that hold the platform together.

Booking a small show in 2026 still means a hundred cold DMs across four platforms, unverified contacts, and a no-show rate that quietly murders the calendar. We built ShareTheStage because we got tired of all of that and we figured a lot of you did too.

For the past year we have been heads-down on the boring infrastructure: identity verification, anti-spam, blocking, reporting, audit logs. The stuff that makes a marketplace feel safe to actually use. Today we are opening that work up to verified performers and venues across the country.

What we are launching

  • Verified profiles. Every performer and venue goes through a human review before they can post or apply. No fake leads, no AI agents pretending to be a band manager.
  • One inbox for the gig. Application, message, schedule, contract talk — all in one place, with a clear audit trail when something goes sideways.
  • A calendar that matches your reality. Two-way sync with Google / Apple / Outlook, so a yes here automatically blocks the night on your other calendars.
  • Free for performers, always. You apply, you message, you book — we never take a cut of the gig.

Why “verified” matters

A lot of the booking platforms that came before us optimized for one number: how many listings can we have? The honest answer to that is “a lot, but most of them are noise.” A search for “open mics in Brooklyn” on the typical platform returns 60 results, half of which are stale, and three of which are actually run by the same shady promoter under different names.

We are taking the opposite bet: fewer listings, all real. If a venue is on ShareTheStage, somebody at our team has verified that the business exists, the address is real, and the email maps to a human who actually books the room. Same on the performer side.

What is next

The current feature set is what we needed to launch confidently. Coming up: bulk outreach tools for venues running festival lineups, a stronger tour planner with route optimization, and a public “what just happened” feed so word-of-mouth scales without needing an Instagram following.

If you are a performer or a venue, claim your account and start filling in your profile. We'll verify you in the order applications come in and email you the moment you're live.

Thanks for being patient while we built it. See you on stage.
